Consultation
Individualized hair care at Lovely Locs is a three-part process beginning with a 45-minute consultation. All clients are required to schedule a consultation prior to their installation. Clients should prepare for this visit with clean product-free hair. A certified Sisterlock consultant will identify the hair type, texture and density of the coils, and install 3-to-4 test locs. The Sisterlock process is explained thoroughly to the client with aid from two brief videos. New installation clients receive a Sisterlock starter kit and detailed instructions for their natural hair-care management.
Re-Tightening/ Styling/ Maintenance
Every client's hair-care management system consists of maintenance instructions and a re-tightening schedule that supports their hair care goals. Clients are highly encouraged to adhere to the specific maintenance instructions discussed during their consultation. Depending on density and hair length, a re-tightening may last between 2-4 hours. Hair can be styled for an additional cost.
Installation
In accordance with the trademarked Sisterlock pattern, a certified Sisterlock consultant installs the pre-determined loc pattern. Depending upon density and hair length, this process lasts between 10-16 hours. It is usually completed within one day; however, the installation can span up to two days.
